Watch This Batter Catch A Fastball That Hits Him, Then Casually Throw It Back To The Pitcher

Here’s a video that doesn’t make all that much sense. Washington State pitcher Layne Bruner threw up a ball up and in on Arizona State’s Johnny Sewald. For a moment, the ball gets lost, seemingly caught in Sewald’s jersey. And then all of a sudden Sewald produces it like a rabbit out of a top hat, casually tosses it back to Bruner like nothing happened.

The slow motion replay gives you an idea of how it all went down. In summary, Sewald is baseball’s version of David Copperfield.
