This Little Girl’s Broncos Dress Pissed Off Her Kindergarten Teacher

Last week, it was a clock. This week, it’s a Broncos dress. Soon enough, show and tell will just be fancy pencils and pens.

Meet 5-year-old Zyliah, a girl from Washington who loves the Denver Broncos. But Zyliah’s fandom is causing quite a problem. You see, she wanted to wear her Broncos dress on something called “Blue Friday” at her elementary school in Tacoma.

And one evil Seahawks teacher said “no, uh uh, not gonna happen.” This pretty much sums about the police state of education in this country.

Via KDVR:

Here’s what happened when 5-year-old Zyliah got picked up from school that day.

“She walked up to me and I knew something was wrong,” Allen said. “She just kind of put her head down and said, ‘Grandma, Mrs. Watson told me I can’t wear my Broncos dress. If I don’t have a Seahawks shirt I have to wear my uniform.’”

The teacher said it’s Seattle blue or bust.

Forget “12th man,” this needs to be the new rallying cry for the Seahawks: “The teacher said it’s Seattle blue or bust.” And then a picture of Mrs. Watson slapping a little girl in the face with a Broncos jersey.

Unsurprisingly, the teacher was told she couldn’t do that. Because, you know, that didn’t seem obvious enough. Then the school had to release a statement because America is “land of the free, and home of the colossally stupid.”

“The teacher didn’t understand the full scope of what ‘Blue Friday’ means and sought clarification from the principal. ‘Blue Friday’ means all teachers and students can wear gear from whatever team they want.”

Pro-Tip, Mrs. Watson: Bullying 5-year-olds does not put you on the fast track for tenure.

Be worse.
