After a second quarter touchdown, Cam Newton just wanted to give the football to a young fan in the stands. Unfortunately, Julius Peppers – defensive lineman and big ol’ mean jerk – got his paws on the ball first, and wouldn’t let Cam have it. The Panthers quarterback even asked nicely, but nope…poor sport Julius was having none of it.
Instead of handing the ball to Cam so he could make the kid’s day, Peppers tossed it to the sidelines angrily. Fortunately, Cam is a persistent fellow and he was committed enough to chase the ball down and still deliver it to the youngster, who may have appreciated the gesture even more after seeing the quarterback’s determination.
