While Von Miller was grinding the gears of Tom Brady about deflated footballs, C.J. Anderson took a higher road following the Broncos’ 20-18 victory in the AFC title game Sunday.
The running back posted a picture of him and Brady on the field after the game to Instagram. Instead of writing a caption about the Patriots cheating or Brady being pals with xenophobic moron Donald Trump, Anderson heaped praise and compliments on the four-time Super Bowl winner.
I know a lot of people hate this man but man when he was pick 199 and was (overlooked) he inspired me. I was undrafted and (overcame) all the odds so bless what he told me at the end of this game. He said, “CJ, way to fight and prove everybody wrong. You belong in this league and you’re one hell of a player. I love the way you run keep climbing to be great.” … I’m proud to say I’m 3-2 vs his teams and proud to say I get to battle him every year.
This is actually classic humblebragging at its finest. “Tom Brady is great and he told me I belong in the NFL and also I’ve beaten him 60 percent of the time we’ve played and here’s a picture of us.” He also mentions how everyone hates Brady at the top. I’m not even sure if this was meant to be positive for Brady at all.
