Behold This Glorious Beer Pyramid That Cleveland Indians Fans Built In The Outfield Stands

For many, Memorial Day Weekend — in addition to being a time to honor those who have served proudly — is the unofficial kickoff party to summer. And what better way to get the season started than by going to a baseball game and drinking approximately one million beers?

That was the line of thinking for some Cleveland Indians fans  in attendance at Progressive Field on Friday night. Just beyond the right field foul pole, a group of fans build an incredibly impressive beer pyramid comprised of nearly 100 beer cans. Also, extra points for the commitment to one type of beer (Miller Lite) for the entire structure. Consistency is key.

Considering the typical beer prices at professional sports stadiums, this dollar value of this pyramid would normally be pretty ridiculous. At Fenway Park, it’d be upwards of $1000 in cans. However, Friday night was $2 beer night at Progressive Field, which I’m sure had absolutely nothing to do with what happened here.

Unfortunately, the thing got so big that the fans were asked to take it down, presumably because it was obstructing views for other fans.

It stinks we didn’t get to see the full potential of this monstrosity, but this pyramid is certainly nothing to shake your head at. You should be very proud — and very hungover — today, Indians fans.
