This is it! Thirty-two characters from HBO’s Game of Thrones have been whittled down to just two, and you now must choose who wins our March Badassness Deathmatch Tournament. It’s been a month full of surprise upsets, but in the end, nothing could stop Stannis the Mannis or Ygritte from overcoming their lower-seeded opponents and claiming what was theirs by rights.

Stannis (57.38% / 5075 votes) vs. Arya (42.62% / 3770 votes)

Stannis sits atop the melted Iron Throne, the rubble of the Red Keep strewn about. Dragons lay chained at his feet, and his sword pulses with the light of the souls he has extinguished with it. He shall now quench it once more through the chest of the last heir of Winterfell, ending the line of the kings of the North. Arya pulls against the chains that hold her head down upon the plinth, but they are heavy iron and barely move. The last thing she sees as Stannis swings his sword down is her own head toppling from its body to roll across the floor in a spray of blood.

Ygritte (50.86% / 2634 votes) vs. Brienne (49.14% / 2545 votes)

Brienne staggers through the woods, her face a bloody mess. The Mountain ripped her ear off, the Brotherhood without Banners took her love and her honor. It has been a trying tournament in the extreme. She is tired, so tired. Not so for Ygritte. Archery practice is how she could describe it. All these knights and warriors with their lobstered steel and long shining swords. Not as long as the reach of a single arrow, which Ygritte aims from a hundred yards away. Did Brienne even see her, hidden between tree and brush? Probably not. Did she feel the arrow that took her through her helmet’s eye slit? Based on the screaming and writhing, yes she did.
