It Looks Like You Can Finally Bring Joe Rogan Into The Octagon In ‘EA UFC 2’

After nearly 20 years as a commentator for the UFC, Joe Rogan is finally stepping into the Octagon. Well, kinda. He’s a hidden character in EA UFC 2, which means he’ll be able to take on CM Punk, Mike Tyson or even Bas Rutten in a battle of the commentators. As many know, Rogan has a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under Eddie Bravo, and has an extensive taekwondo background. Dude can fight, but now we can finally put him to the test against a plethora of welterweights.

Nick or Nate Diaz versus Joe Rogan? Yes, please. Failed drug tests all around!

Yes – this is real. We have confirmation from EA, and it’s wonderful. Game Director Brian Hayes had some fun with the whole announcement.

Notice how there is no commentary, despite Rogan being completely aware of himself in the fifth dimension. This is a cool touch to add to an already extremely fun game. I can admit that playing as Mike Tyson or Bruce Lee is a blast, even if it’s a novelty. That said, Bas Rutten, Tyson, Bruce Lee – they all play uniquely, and Tyson is a killer. I can’t wait to get in the Octagon as Joe Rogan and discuss hallucinogenics while throwing spinning sh*t at Robbie Lawler.

But how do you unlock him? Try out the fabled “Konami Code” before you press start/options to start the game.
