Marshawn Lynch Shows Off His Beast Mode Power With This Broken Helmet

A lot of people have wondered if Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch’s best days are behind him. The Seahawks’ bruising back was nicked up at times in 2015 and his play wasn’t the caliber that we’re used to – he averaged 3.8 yards per carry and only had three touchdowns on the year. There have also been plenty of concerns about Lynch’s future in Seattle, as he has reportedly been at odds with the Seahawks’ front office for some time.

But still, when Lynch is healthy and focused, there are few backs in the league who can maul defenders as well as he can. During Seattle’s game on Sunday against Carolina, Panthers defensive back Roman Harper learned that the hard way. He tried to stop Lynch, but instead of going down easily, the five-time Pro Bowl running back hit Harper with such force that Harper’s helmet cracked. Harper posted a video on Instagram where he showed off the damage that Lynch did to his helmet, saying that everyone who thinks Beast Mode isn’t still alive is wrong.

Lynch has always been a guy who prides himself on getting his no matter what. As Harper learned, that’s still the case even though Lynch didn’t have his best year.
