Hillary Clinton Left The 9/11 Commemoration Ceremony Early After Feeling ‘Overheated’

This morning, a September 11 commemoration ceremony marked fifteen years since terrorists took over four planes and crashed them into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a Pennsylvania field with intended target still unknown. The two major party presidential nominees, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, attended the somber ceremony to honor those who were lost.

After about 90 minutes, cable news halted everything to report when Clinton left the ceremony early. According to her campaign in a statement to the press, spokesman Nick Merrill stated that Clinton “felt overheated so departed to go to her daughter’s apartment, and is feeling much better.” Reporters followed her every movement to Chelsea’s apartment about 15 minutes away. After a short rest, Clinton emerged and told the waiting media, “I’m feeling great. It’s a beautiful day in New York.”

A few videos show the chain of events as they occurred. This clip — which has been plastered all over CNN — shows Clinton waiting for her vehicle to depart the ceremony. She was clearly struggling and required assistance to walk.

Here’s subsequent footage of Clinton leaving Chelsea’s apartment after resting. She’s all smiles and waves to the camera.
