Seth Meyers Calls Out The Republican Party’s Handling Of The Possible Election Hack In ‘A Closer Look’

Early in Monday’s “A Closer Look” Seth Meyers straight up asks Donald Trump “What is wrong with you?!” Somehow, this exclamation was about Trump dissing the quality of football in this weekend’s Army/Navy game and not the dozens of other things that Donald Trump has done lately to merit such a question. In fact, Meyers goes over many such instances in the rest of the segment while also reminding people of some of Trump’s mistakes of months past.

In the segment, Seth touches on the Trump camp’s statement about the potential Russian hack of the US election in which they tried to brag about his winning margin in the popular vote (which is actually a negative number) and say that the election ended “a long time ago” which is also completely untrue. On an even broader scale, the Trump camp has also completely failed at putting forth a united front about who might be responsible for the possible election hack or what they could have accomplished with the breach. Don’t let the jokes fool you, Seth also makes sure to rightly and clearly ask for a full investigation into the possible hack in the middle of the segment which gets across how potentially dire a situation this may be.

Trump isn’t even officially President yet and he’s already skipping security briefings and blaming “some guy in New Jersey” for political cyber attacks. Something tells us Seth is going to have fodder for Trump-related “A Closer Look” segments for a long, long time. If all of this political worry is stressing you out, you can now just imagine Rex Tillerson as a Jack Russell Terrier who solves crimes. That can cheer anybody up no matter how concerned they are that Trump is a month away from the nuclear codes.
