A Middle-Aged Evie Frye Takes On Jack The Ripper In The Latest ‘Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’ DLC

As soon as Ubisoft revealed that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate would take place in Victorian England, you just knew Jack the Ripper was going to be involved. Sure enough, Ubisoft quickly confirmed the game would receive a Jack the Ripper-themed DLC expansion.

Well, that Jack the Ripper DLC is almost here, so Ubisoft has released a full trailer for the expansion, which looks like a bloody good time. Better than the main Assassin’s Creed Syndicate campaign, frankly. The Jack the Ripper DLC takes place 20 years after the events of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, and sees a now middle-aged Evie Frye trying to stop the serial killer’s reign of terror. The badass female assassin Evie vs. the most notorious killer of women of all-time is certainly a compelling conflict, and it looks like this DLC will deliver some of the edginess the Assassin’s Creed series has been lacking recently. If this was standalone DLC (as most DLC should be), I’d grab it in a second.

The Jack the Ripper DLC is part of the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate season pass, although you can also purchase it separately if season passes aren’t your cup of tea. The expansion arrives December 15.
