Eat Asphalt With The Honest Trailer For ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’

Playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 on the Uproxx GammaStream was incredibly strange. Despite barely touching the franchise for more than a decade, it was like I’d never stopped playing. And boy does that give Smosh a lot of material for their latest Honest Trailer.

Really, I should just screenshot the final joke and leave it at that, because it more or less nails the entire franchise, including the new entry. But they dig pretty deep here, pulling out some of the franchise’s lousier ideas and more embarrassing indulgences and a lot of footage from the original games.

And, of course, they stop off to abuse Bam Margera, who remains the single most inexplicable star of the late ’90s and early 2000s. Seriously, the guy’s entire shtick is that he can skate and he’s a douchebag to his long-suffering parents. I’m actually kind of sad I didn’t get a chance in the new game to strip Bam to his undies and make him skate off the top of Alcatraz. It made the endless watchings of Viva La Bam around me much, much more tolerable.

One thing even they can’t make fun of, though, is the music. But I’ll let you watch that gag for yourself; our review of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 will be coming later this week.
