That’s A Penis! ‘State Of Decay’ Employees Filled The Game With Hidden Dicks.

Don’t bother looking for a hidden penis in the picture above. It’s just an awesome dinosaur with a sign that says “do not climb” next to a ladder we’d totally climb. Why even put a ladder on it if we’re not supposed to triumphantly ride the dinosaur? But we digress. What were we talking about in the headline? Oh, right. Penis.

Recent zombie game State of Decay was apparently chock-full of the D, thanks to multiple cheeky contractors Undead Labs hired to create background textures. Hey, when you dick over independent contractors by farming out low-paying work with no benefits, you have to expect them to dick you right back.

Senior designer Geoffrey Card told XBLA Fans, “Some of our contractors worked a ridiculous amount of genitalia into the background.”

The wieners remained undiscovered as the texture in question is displayed at too low a resolution in the original Xbox 360 version of the open world zombie survival sandbox. By the time Undead Labs caught on to the hidden features in the texture, it was too late – the peckers were already out there. (Via)

Microsoft released a statement, saying, “Undead Labs is no longer working with the contractor in question, and this material will not be present in State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition.”

They “fixed” (as in ruined) all of the fun before any higher-resolution version of the game was released, so no clear pictures of the hidden wangs are available to the public. To make up for that egregious omission, here is an artist’s rendering of what was going on in the background of State of Decay.
