Supercut Combines ‘Batman V Superman’ And ‘Man Of Steel’s Battle Of Metropolis Scenes

Combining scenes of Superman and Zod’s “Battle of Metropolis” from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Man of Steel yields an only slightly more cohesive whole, but somebody went and did it anyway. That fan also covered literally a quarter of the f*cking screen with his watermark, which figures. Why not make it even harder to follow what’s happening? ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Bruce Wayne witnessing Superman and Zod’s destruction of Metropolis and cavalier taking of human lives is what turned him against Superman, and this supercut aims to combine the scenes from both movies to show it from both perspectives, with Batman trying to get his employees to safety and watching the city crumble while Superman is focused on Zod and Lois Lane.

As Ben Affleck said in an interview last March, referring to the destruction of Metropolis, “There’s an enormous amount of fear and resentment and suffering that would engender. And we know what that is, we know what that’s like now.” (To be fair, Batman straight up murdered a bunch of people, too.) Affleck added that some of Batman’s anger was also him projecting “his own sense of failure, his own sense of disillusionment, his own cynicism onto Superman.” Jeez, Bruce, cheer up.
