The Worst Trek Bracket Round Eleven: "And The Children Shall Lead" vs. "Spock's Brain"

“Sub Rosa”, or thanks to Electric Mayhem “Beverly Gets Wax Fever” as it will be officially known for the rest of the bracket, easily ripped off Masks to move to the Sulfurous Sixteen. And next we’ve got two of the most infamous original series episodes ever written.

“And The Children Shall Lead”

Something I haven’t been mentioning is that as these come up, I’ve been watching them. I watched “Miri” first, an episode that I really loathe (one word: “grups”), and then this, and I hate to admit it, but Leonard Nimoy was right: “Miri” was a lot better. Especially in the acting department. Back to the courtroom, Belli!

“Spock’s Brain”

Like this one needs an intro. There have been attempts to apologize for it; it was the first episode of the third season, where budgets were cut, the writing staff were largely replaced, and Gene Roddenberry checked out except to sell fans crap. One of our commenters recounted talking his family into watching an episode and this dog was the one to come on, ruining any shot at loving Star Trek.

To which we have to say…”Brain and brain, what is brain?” We think Spock himself put it best in “Devil in the Dark” when he said “PAIN!”

Vote in the comments, and remember, this one goes up against “He Who is Without Sin” in the Sulfurous Sixteen!
