Every time we think the hype for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has reached its peak, another flurry of activity ratchets expectations up to yet another level. In the last few days, Disney/Lucasfilm have released two new commercials for the holiday event of the year, each with a handful of new footage and voice over.
If you”re trying to keep from knowing any more about “The Force Awakens” than abandon ship now! Otherwise, come on it to see some of the most telling moments from the Star Wars TV spots.
The first commercial (above) features the voice of Lupita Nyong”o as Maz Kanata talking about seeing the cycle of history repeat itself throughout her long life. The second TV spot (below) focuses on the ongoing Star Wars theme finding the courage to become the person you”re meant to be. Both of them are packed with tiny never-before-seen footage from Rey beating up a Jakku-dweller to Han and Chewie taking potshots at the enemy.
And if you stitch the two together along with the previous trailer footage, you get some interesting pieces of information about the plot.
