SAN DIEGO – If watching “Ash vs. Evil Dead” makes you feel like you're stepping into a time machine, consider what it must be like for Bruce Campbell to suit up as the chainsaw-handed hero after 20-plus years.
“They've recreated a couple of original elements of the movie to a very disturbing degree,” he told us at San Diego Comic Con. “I mean, it really messes with your head.”
Among these original elements is the original 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 used in the first “Evil Dead” film, which director Sam Raimi has kept locked in a secret storage facility all these years — away from the vindictive hands of his lead actor.
“…he will never reveal [the storage facility's location] to me because he knows I will destroy the car if I find it,” said Campbell. “I have a rivalry with that car.”

“Ash vs. Evil Dead” premieres October 31 on Starz.
