CBS orders 7 more episodes of ‘Supergirl’

“Supergirl” is going to get a full first season.

CBS announced today that it has ordered seven more episodes of the show, bringing the total to 20 (apparently, its late start date means a slightly truncated season). “Supergirl” has generally done well with both critics and audiences, averaging 11.24 million viewers — although, it should be noted, the ratings have dropped a bit from the premiere episode.

As CBS points out, the pick-up means that all four of its freshman series (“Code Black,” “Life in Pieces,” “Limitless,” and “Supergirl”) have been given additional episode orders.
