This is news that”ll make Tommen want to jump out of the window…again. Like the swallows returning to Capistrano, video pirates have made their annual pilgrimage to torrent sites and are illegally downloading copies of last night”s finale of Game of Thrones in near record numbers.
The website TorrentFreak is reporting that the episode is seeing the highest pirating numbers they”ve seen the entire season. At the time they wrote their story earlier today about the mass video thievery, 350,000 people were “actively sharing a copy.”
Game of Thrones has long been a favorite among this community. In fact, for every year since 2012, the series has earned the title of “Most Pirated TV Show.” Last year”s finale experienced record theft, having been downloaded at least 14 million times.
Shame. Shame. Shame.
