In the latest preview to get you hyped for Netflix's hip-hop drama The Get Down, we get to hear from Grandmaster Flash himself. DJ pioneer Grandmaster Flash is not only an associate producer on the series but he's also a character on the show played by Mamoudou Athie.
The featurette gives us a behind-the-scenes look at The Get Down as the actors discuss what it's like learning from Grandmaster Flash, and Flash himself talks about what its like to see himself played on screen. Check it out below – along with sneak peeks at scenes from the upcoming series.
The Get Down premieres on Netflix on August 12.
