Testing his celebrity, two-time Superman Henry Cavill went to the tourist mecca that is Times Square practically in costume to see whether anyone would recognize him. They didn”t.
The star of the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice posted video of the underwhelming results of his efforts on his Instagram page. He wrote, “Dear doubter, The glasses are good enough. Regards, Superman.”
In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Cavill told the talk show host, “There's been so much doubt about the validity of Superman's disguise, which is the glasses…I think it was a perfectly reasonable disguise, and so, I put it to the test.”
He added, “The only person who stopped us was someone who was asking for directions.”
Batman v Superman is set for a March 25 release.
