HitFix Daily Snap: Courtney Love and other comebacks we need

We told you all the ways Courtney Love is steadily making a comeback, which should fill you with endorphins. I'm not sure her appearance in “Montage of Heck” will thrill fans, but she's such a dynamic, eye-rolling force whose insight is still provocative. We can always use more Courtney. Plus, “Live Through This” is better than “Nevermind.” Sorry.

As for other comebacks we need right now, here are ones I'm constantly thinking about: Missy Elliott (of course; she's on a new Ciara track and sounds fantastic, by the way), Dana Carvey, Cheri Oteri, Alanis Morissette, Miranda Richardson, Tracy Chapman (She sounded fantastic performing “Stand By Me” on Letterman), Lesley Ann Warren, and Winona Ryder. Fingers crossed for all of you.

Here's what else is going on today:

“Hot Pursuit” is not the awesome comedy you want it to be.

Oh, Reese. Oh, Sofia. What happened to all of the good jokes?

“Daredevil” episodes 7-9: We have 88 thoughts about them.

“Daredevil” is more entertaining than most silver screen superhero fare. Donna Dickens collected all her thoughts about episodes 7-9.

Have you thought about “New Girl” in awhile? Think about “New Girl” again.

Daniel Fienberg discusses the fourth season finale and praises the principal cast while discovering a problem: The show has totally lost the ability to tell a story.

“Sicario”: Check out Emily Blunt and Josh Brolin

Even though she hasn't racked up a ton of accolades yet, I can say with some certainty that Emily Blunt has an Oscar in her future. She keeps nailing noteworthy roles. And she was definitely the best part of “Into the Woods,” no?
