‘Kung Fury’ is the insane ’80s action-movie homage that’s sweeping the internet

Stoic, one-liner-spouting action hero. Car phones. Terrible dubbing. Laser Raptors? Everything you ever loved about dumb '80s action movies is present and accounted for.

Written and directed by David Sandberg, “Kung Fury” is a Kickstarter-funded short film that premiered earlier this month at the Cannes Film Festival and has since been burning up the blogosphere thanks to its spot-on (loving) jabs at the Stallone-Schwarzenegger brand of over-the-top action films that now feel as dated as the “low-fat” diet craze. Why yes, there is a character named “Tricera-cop.”

Luckily for you, the movie is now streaming in full on YouTube. Check it out below.
