Cara Delevingne is wearing some awesome Mass Effect cosplay in this Valerian photo!

Director Luc Besson is 51 days into filming on Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. How do I know that? Because he's been having a fantastic time sharing images from the set, including a countdown (or count up in this case). The film, based on the comic Valérian and Laureline, stars Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne as, you guessed it, Valérian and Laureline.

The film, like the comic by writer Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mézières, takes place in the 28th century where two “spatio-temporal” agents travel through time and space (hence the job title) to help humanity. One rule: no changing the course of events. It”s like Doctor Who, in space…wait..oh, you know what I mean.

Valerian”s the noble, heroic one. Laureline”s the super intelligent badass. Adventures ensue. Everything looks amazing. All in all, it”s perfect Besson material.

Considering both actors are extremely photogenic, it makes sense that Besson's been having a grand old time including them in the pictures on his Instagram page, but this one particular picture caught my attention.

Is anyone else getting a Mass Effect feel from this? I mean, my Fem Shep has short red hair, but if you did a little photoshop on the armor, you'd have a pretty close match.

Given his penchant for the strange and space-like, maybe we can get Besson to consider an ME adaptation. Diva Plavalaguna's a good color template for Tali, right? Let's just hope his Garrus doesn't look like a Mangalore.
