Watch: Sebastian Stan on why ‘Captain America 2’ will be an ‘in your face’ experience

SAN DIEGO – Sebastian Stan has come up with an interesting analogy to differentiate “Captain America” and its forthcoming sequel.

“The best way that I describe it is that I feel like the first movie is kind of like, you know, when you sit with…your family or if somebody tells you a story, and then…they’re telling you this story and you’re kind of picturing it in your mind as you’re listening,” the actor – reprising the role of James “Bucky” Barnes in “The Winter Soldier” – told me while doing press at San Diego Comic-Con. “So it’s almost like a dream sequence. And then in this movie you’re just in the room. You know, you’re like in the room with these people, you know? It’s sort of like right there in your face.”

Though he’s currently in the midst of promoting his second movie in the franchise, Stan (who is reportedly contracted for anywhere from five to six Marvel films overall) still seems genuinely awestruck at how everything came together.

“It’s funny for me to look back at, because I started by auditioning for ‘Captain America’ and suddenly I ended up, you know, being this guy and doing this part, so now I’m here talking to you about that,” he said. “And none of it I knew was gonna happen, so I don’t know what’s gonna come next, which is kind of cool.”
