8-Bit Cinema, the CineFix series responsible for retro video game interpretations of such classic films as The Shining, Terminator 2, Blade Runner and, uh, The Shawshank Redemption, has now turned its ultra-pixellated lens on Stranger Things, the hit Netflix series that you will never, ever stop hearing about.
I must say, the 8-Bit video (created by the Dutton Brothers) does a great job of hitting on a lot of the Season 1 highlights (Barb on the diving board, Eleven in the kiddie pool, the final confrontation with the Demogorgon) in a breezily entertaining, often very clever, fashion. Somehow, they even manage to capture Joyce's mesmerized stare into the ball of mini-lights, though in 8-Bit she looks decidedly more deranged than spellbound.
