TV Ratings: ‘Bachelor’ finale is solid, but ‘The Voice’ and NBC rule Monday

“The Voice” took a large, Spring Forward-related, drop on Monday night, but still dominated the competition, which included three hours of solid “Bachelor” finale programming on NBC.
Other original programming dropping on Monday night included FOX’s “Alcatraz” and NBC’s “Smash.”

Among adults 18-49, NBC averaged a 4.2 rating for Monday night, easily beating ABC’s 3.0 rating in the key demographic. CBS averaged a 1.9 rating, followed by the 1.4 rating for FOX and The CW’s 0.2 rating.
Overall, NBC averaged an estimated 11.93 million viewers to go with a 7.1 rating/11 share. ABC averaged a 6.3/10 and 9.34 million viewers in second with CBS’ 4.6/7 and 7.1 million viewers taking third. FOX’s 4.32 and 2.8/4 was fourth. The CW averaged only a 0.5/1 and 700,000 viewers for the night.

8 p.m. – “The Voice” started primetime in first for NBC with nearly 14 million viewers and a 4.8 rating among adults 18-49. ABC’s “The Bachelor” was second with 8.745 million viewers and a 2.7 key demo rating. On CBS, repeats of “How I Met Your Mother” and “2 Broke Girls” averaged 6.11 million viewers and a 1.9 key demo rating, beating the 3.65 million viewers and 1.2 key demo rating for FOX’s “House” repeat. On The CW, an encore of last week’s “America’s Next Top Model” averaged 916,000 viewers and a 0.3 key demo rating.
9 p.m. – NBC’s second hour of “The Voice” rose to 14.645 million viewers and a 5.4 rating among adults 18-49. “The Bachelor” was up to 9.46 million viewers and a 3.1 key demo rating. CBS’ repeats of “Two and a Half Men” and “Mike & Molly” averaged 7.43 million viewers and a 2.0 key demo rating in third. On FOX, a new “Alcatraz” averaged 4.99 million viewers and a 1.6 key demo rating. The CW’s “Hart of Dixie” repeat drew only 485,000 viewers and a 0.1 key demo rating.
10 p.m. – ABC’s post-“Bachelor” finale “After the Final Rose” thing ruled the 10 p.m. hour with 9.82 million viewers and a 3.3 rating among adults 18-49. A repeat of “Hawaii Five-0” was second for the hour overall with 7.76 million viewers, but third with a 1.6 key demo rating. NBC’s “Smash” averaged 7.14 million viewers and a 2.4 key demo rating for third overall and second in the demo.
