TV Ratings: ‘Under the Dome’ slips, still dominates ‘Siberia’ on Monday

Fast National ratings for Monday, July 1, 2013.
To the surprise of absolutely nobody, the second week of “Under the Dome” dominated NBC’s premiere of “Siberia” and helped boost CBS to primetime wins on Monday night.
Although “Under the Dome” dropped from its premiere, the decline was still a fairly reasonable 15 percent, as the Stephen King adaptation delivered Monday’s best ratings in all conceivable demos.
As for “Siberia,” it did a 1.1 rating in the advertiser-craved demographic, which is either impressively low, or else way better than NBC has done with other scripted originals like “Crossing Lines” and “Save Me” this summer.
For the night, CBS averaged a 1.8 rating among adults 18-49, beating out ABC’s 1.6 rating and the 1.5 rating for NBC in the key demographic. FOX was a distant third with a 0.6 key demo rating, followed by The CW’s 0.2 key demo rating.
Overall, CBS averaged an estimated 7.08 million viewers and a 4.6 rating/8 share for Monday primetime, topping ABC’s 3.9/6 and 5.46 million viewers. NBC was third with 4.35 million viewers and a 2.6/4, while FOX’s 1.0/2 and 1.58 million viewers and the 0.4/1 and 609,000 viewers trailed.
8 p.m. – “The Bachelorette” got ABC started in first place with 6.2 million viewers and a 1.7 rating among adults 18-49 in the 8 p.m. hour. NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior” averaged 4.59 million viewers and a 1.5 key demo rating in its first hour, as the competition’s season premiere came in below last summer’s launch, but still improved with each half-hour. CBS was third with 4.335 million viewers and a 1.1 key demo rating for repeats of “How I Met Your Mother” and “Mike & Molly.” FOX followed with a “Raising Hope” repeat (2.04 million and a 0.7 key demo) and the season/series finale for “The Goodwin Games” (1.525 million and a 0.6 key demo). The CW’s “Oh Sit!” averaged 792,000 viewers and a 0.3 key demo rating.
9 p.m. – The second hour of “The Bachelorette” kept ABC in first with 6.38 million viewers and slipped to second with a 1.8 rating among adults 18-49. CBS’ repeats of “2 Broke Girls” and “The Big Bang Theory” finished second overall with 5.39 million viewers and third with a 1.4 key demo rating. NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior” rose to 5.27 million viewers and an hour-winning 1.9 key demo rating. FOX’s repeats of “New Girl” and “The Mindy Project” averaged 1.38 million viewers and a 0.5 key demo rating, topping the 427,000 viewers and 0.2 key demo rating for a repeat of “The Carrie Diaries” on The CW.
10 p.m. – “Under the Dome” averaged 11.52 million viewers and a 2.8 rating among adults 18-49 for CBS in the 10 p.m. hour, still very strong numbers despite a predictable decline. ABC’s “Mistresses” was second with 3.8 million viewers and a 1.2 key demo rating, rising slightly from last week. On NBC, “Siberia” averaged 3.195 million viewers and a 1.1 key demo rating.
