While we’ll have to wait another month or two to witness the hotly anticipated Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz rematch at UFC 202, parts of Conor’s steamy ESPN Body Issue photo shoot are already starting to hit the internet. The annual issue devoted to nude shots of the world’s best athletes hits newsstands on July 8, but you can get a preview of what to expect over at ESPN’s website.
“I tell you what, them Irish genes are good,” Conor told ESPN in an interview. “They’ve served me well. We are made tough. We are made of steel. So I have no doubt the blood in my genes, the Irish blood in me has definitely stood me. My family’s lineage, we are warriors.”
“The McGregor clan, we are warriors all through. We are famous all through the world for our fighting capabilities of all generations. So I have no doubt that’s stood to me and that led me down this path and gave me what I have.”
It’s not just genes but hard work as well, hard work that Conor is obviously putting into being in top physical condition for the most important fight of his career. And based on what we’re seeing from these Body Issue shots and videos, he’s not skimping on anything.
