As the holidays grow closer, the UFC headed to Sacramento to present the gift of a fight card chock full of hometown fighters for UFC on Fox 22. The event was headlined by rising Paige VanZant locking horns with Michelle Waterson as she hopes to land a bout with Ronda Rousey.
The card also marked the swan song for former WEC champion and Sacramento-native Urijah Faber. The 37-year-old will call it a career after his 44th professional fight and his first in the sparkling new Golden 1 Arena in downtown Sacramento. CM Punk-conquorer Mickey Gall made his return to octagon as well, taking on Sage Northcut in the co-main event.
