“Bob Dylan and his band perform three songs, and Liberace does some cooking.”
So reads the plot summary for my now-favorite episode of Late Night with David Letterman. The departing Late Show host hoped to reunite Dylan and Liberace for his penultimate show next Tuesday, only to realize the Glitter Man’s been dead for 28 years. He’s still going through with Dylan, though, pairing him with Bill Murray, according to the New York Times‘ Dave Itzkoff.
Bob Dylan has been added to Tuesday's Late Show, the second-to-last episode that David @Letterman will host. Bill Murray already announced.

It will be Dylan’s first Letterman appearance since 1993, when he was promoting the inessential World Gone Wrong. Much better was his legendary performance in 1984. Dylan looks bored, as he did throughout most of the 1990s, but his souped up “Jokerman” sounds downright spirited.
Liberace is nowhere to be seen.
