As part of an ongoing effort to joylessly slog through things that would bring the average person happiness, Billy Corgan put on his best dour face and nun costume to cover Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” alongside Marilyn Manson on Aug. 9.
The odd performance came during a Nashville stop on Corgan’s and Manson’s joint End Times tour. Corgan appeared on stage to sing along with “Antichrist Superstar” (which apparently hasn’t changed its corresponding stage show since ’96) and joined in on the strange cover that Manson segued into. Check out another fan shot video of the performance below.

Corgan and Manson also took a nice snapshot of the moment, to capture Corgan’s sadness for posterity.

It’s funny that Corgan would accuse modern-day rock bands of using a guitar as a prop while on tour with someone who uses literally everything as a prop, don’t you think?
