“I take professional concert photographs and the other night I snapped some crowd shots. One guy in particular was aware of this…” is how Redditor katarokkar shared this inspiring and mesmerizing GIF. I clicked through with low expectations and left wanting to start a single-serving Tumblr dedicated to photobombing concert crowd photography. Then I realized that this is the only time I’ve ever seen it, and that this guy is the god tier good at it and no one would ever top him.
Via the Reddit comments we’ve been able to gather that this took place at a Wallpaper concert in San Francisco on the 23rd, katarokkar “was using a Nikon D90 with a Tamron AF 28-75mm f/2.8 and a Nikon 50mm f/1.8G,” and the bomber was completely random.
What I really want to know is whether the bomber’s awesomeness ruined or enhanced the crowd photos. I guess that depends on what their end purpose was intended to be and how cool/internet friendly the artist is. Judging by how big Wallpaper goes on the weekends I have to think the bomber’s efforts were applauded…
Have a feeling it wouldn’t go over as well with Nickelback though.
