Drake has spent much of 2017 professing More Life, more love, and more chune for your head top. Earlier this month, he and Tory Lanez finally put to bed their long seven-year Cold War, and just this past weekend, Drizzy showed up at The Weeknd’s homecoming concert in Toronto to perform “Crew Love” for the first time in ages. Apparently, he also squashed one more beef during his Billboard Awards time in Vegas, one with the show’s host.
“Ludacris, we haven’t always seen eye to eye, but I’ve always been a big fan of yours and I got a lot of love for you,” Drake said in an acceptance speech last week. “I want to let you know that face to face, while I’m still here.”
Ludacris confirmed to the New York Daily News that any issues he’s had with Drake have officially been resolved. “Yeah, everything is good,” Ludacris said. The two of them apparently had a conversation before Drake made a public mea culpa during one of his three televised award speeches during the night.
The feud dates back to 2010 when Ludacris was promoting his Battle Of The Sexes album. Drake noticed that Luda used Big Sean’s “Supa Dupa” flow.”I hate that rappers picked that flow up,” Drake told AllHipHop in 2010. “I wish they had left that for people that know how to use it.”
The “What’s Your Fantasy” rapper eventually fired back on “Bada Boom” from his 1.21 Gigawatts mixtape. “Counterfeit rappers say I’m stealing they flows. But I can’t steal what you never made up, b*tch,” Luda said. The two continued to trade little jabs with Drake going more public with it on 2015’s “How Bout Now.” Luda confirmed that there was some “truth” to those lines in an interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. “I think there is a little bit of a true story behind that,” Ludacris told DJ Envy and company. “His girl, at the time, with all due respect was probably doing a little bit more than that. It’s a true story and I think that’s why he said that.”
With his beef with Luda squashed you have to wonder what’s next for the 6 God. Could he end his feud with Pusha T or even Meek Mill next? Yeah…probably not.
