It’s been a little more than a month since the Paris attacks, one of which took place at an Eagles of Death Metal show at the Bataclan Theatre. Now, the band has announced plans to reconvene their European tour. The tour has been titled the Nos Amis Tour, which in English translates to “our friends.”
Along with the announcement of the tour, EODM frontman Jesse Hughes released the following powerful statement:
“The people of Paris have always been incredible to us, and our feeling of love towards this beautiful city and its people has been reinforced a million times over this past month. Hearing the stories of the survivors, the injured and those who have lost loved ones has been overwhelming. Not returning to finish our set was never an option. We look forward to coming back in February and continuing our mission to bring rock ‘n’ roll to the world.”
EODM will be making their return to Paris on Feb. 16 with a gig at the Olympia Theatre. The Bataclan is still being rebuilt, but anyone who was in attendance on that tragic night will be given a free ticket to this show.
