There’s no doubt that Kanye West’s “Famous” video caused a stir when it was first released. Showing a bunch of naked popstars, designers and presidents will do that. But what of your cool mom? She wants to be with it, but you can’t very well show her a music video with a bunch of wax boobs and butts that even the creator of a show with constant explicit sex and nudity found “disturbing.” Luckily, BBC Radio 1 has your back, with a SFW version of “Famous” starring Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor, Troye Sivan and more.
Because the video is British, it also features appearances from Cheryl Cole, Craig David, and comedy group Ant & Dec. It’s mostly built on references to pop songs that have already gone slightly stale (which means mom will get it). Carly Rae Jepsen tells Nick Jonas that she “really, really, really, really, reallly really likes” him. Meghan Trainor shuts down Troye Sivan with a series of “No’s” and Justin Bieber talks about his perfectly symmetrical face (I’m honestly surprised he hasn’t written a song about that yet, a la “My Shiny Teeth and Me”).
The best part about the whole thing? Nobody is going to get sued over it.
