Lana Del Rey has been steadily teasing new tracks from her forthcoming fifth album Lust For Life. Today she shared the title track via an interview with BBC Radio 1’s MistaJam. Hear it above at the 1:06 mark. After the song plays, Lana shared that she has a softer acoustic track still coming called “Yosemite” that’s a love song.
The album is definitely leaning into the California wild child aesthetic, on the simmering duet she shared today one of the lyrics references “dancing on the H of the Hollywood sign.” She also discusses a collaboration with Sean Lennon called “Tomorrow Never Came,” something she referenced in her recent conversation with Courtney Love for Dazed.
Lana kicked off her whole album cycle with the release of the enormous, soaring love song simply titled “Love,” then followed that up with the cosmic video, a witchy album trailer, and of course the gorgeous California-influenced cover art.
News leaked early on that The Weeknd would be showing up on this record, and his contribution is definitely not a disappointment. Plus, they look iconic in the single’s artwork, which is just below. Listen to the song above and look for more info on when Lana’s highly-anticipated record will actually drop — it has to be coming soon.
