A hot commodity right now, Yachty likely turned down a good chunk of money to spend the last day of 2016 and the first day of 2017 with his personal lord and savior Jesus Christ. The rapper took to Instagram and shared the reasoning behind his decision to attend church rather than getting lit at the club. In short, it’s been a terrific year for him.

“Brought the New Years in with my team in church because simply I’ve had way too many blessings this year,” Boat explained before hinting at his 2017 plans. “I owe it all to God. 2017 it’s over with. I’m finna take it over. #albumcomingnot2016but2017”
Hell yeah, Yachty has a lot to be thankful for. The 19-year-old Atlanta misfit went from being an unknown Soundcloud rapper to being co-signed by Kanye West to starring in Sprite commercials with LeBron James to receiving his own New York Times feature. Now that I think about it, I’m certain Lil Yachty is Illuminati.
