Rhye Recruits Dancers From Around The World For His Funky And Smooth ‘Count To Five’ Video

Rhye shared a video for the song “Taste” last year, and Rhye’s Mike Milosh was so impressed with the dance videos that fans responded with that he decided to incorporate that energy into his new clip for “Count To Five,” which comes from Rhye’s just-released sophomore album Blood.

“Shot in six different locations around the world, the video for ‘Count To Five’ celebrates personal expression through the universal language of music and dance,” Milosh says. “We invited each dancer to film in her home environment to honor her own individual experience.”

For the video, Milosh teamed up with dancers from around the world that he recruited on Instagram, and they shot their own sections of the video, meaning that this clip was filmed in Berlin, Tokyo, Moscow, Ghana, Joshua Tree National Park, and Los Angeles. What results is a celebration of music, dance, and how those things can unite us no matter where we are. It works also because “Count To Five” is an easy track to get moving to: It features Rhye’s signature brand of subdued funk with his airy vocals floating on top of the kinetic groove.
