It’s a universally acknowledged fact that once Kanye upstages your Grammy award, there’s no Internet troll that can take you down. That’s why Taylor Swift is so fearless in the face of keyboard warriors who hate on her and her fans. Most recently, Swift proved her supremacy by taking down a troll who tried to knock a die-hart Swifterino (what I imagine both Swift and Ned Flanders have agreed to call her fans).
BuzzFeed reports that the drama started when a Tumblr user named India Rose received a nasty anonymous question on her Tumblr. Rose, who’s loved Swift for the past nine years, isn’t shy about her devotion to the pop singer, and that seemed to anger someone.
Here’s what the question said:
“Why do you seem to think Taylor Swift loves you? She doesn’t love you. You don’t know her. Would you stop posting like she knows you or is actually reading it already, because she’s not. It’s probably not even her using her Tumblr. So, please stop. Also, everyone seems to think you’re pretty, don’t they? Well, I think you think you are with all your selfies. Your [sic] not.”
Dang, dreams crushed. It’s one thing to make fun of someone’s selfies, but to suggest that Taylor Swift doesn’t love her number one fan back? That is some hardcore hate. India Rose did a great job of defending herself, but Swift (who’s known for donating to fans with medical bills as well as sending them care packages) wasted no time stepping in to tell the troll off and correct his grammar.
Yes, but do you love India Rose, Taylor? That’s the most important question. And what do you think of her selfies?
