It’s safe to say that Taylor Swift is a busy lady these days, between starting the rollout for her upcoming album, launching a social media platform for her fans, and sending lots of people flowers. The old Taylor might be dead, but she certainly isn’t wasting her time.
The latest move by the pop star is the release of her latest single, “Gorgeous,” which was teased with an Instagram post on Thursday morning before the song’s midnight release. A few lucky fans were able to listen to the album early in one of Swift’s secret listening sessions, and they were singing their praises about the track ahead of time.

While her first two singles featured a more aggressive Swift that fans were used to, “Gorgeous” is more of a synth-washed slow jam, showcasing a romantically frustrated Swift pining for someone that she cannot have (for the time being). Between the pining, catchy chorus, and embracing her cat lady status, this feels like more familiar ground than “Look What You Made Me Do.” With the November 10th release of Reputation quickly approaching, fans are still unsure exactly what they’ll be getting from Swift, and it seems like that’s just how she likes it.
