RIP FUCKTYLER, WILL MISS YOU, ITS BEEN GREAT, BUT NOW ITS TIME FOR ME TO……IDK WHAT EXACTLY, BUT ITS TIME, IM OK WITH THAT. LOVE YOU.

If you needed any more proof that the Odd Future era is over, here you have it. Tyler, The Creator changed his Twitter handle from @fucktyler β the name he’s rocked since his roach-eating, merry prankster days β to the more Google-ready and professional @tylerthecreator. The rapper addressed the name change in a tweet that made it clear that he’s moving on to…well, something else.
“RIP FUCKTYLER, WILL MISS YOU, ITS BEEN GREAT,” he wrote. “BUT NOW ITS TIME FOR ME TO……IDK WHAT EXACTLY, BUT ITS TIME, IM OK WITH THAT. LOVE YOU.”
Fan reaction was mixed, to say the least.

Brah at least I can now RT you without my Mom getting tight

And one fan took the time to ask the really important questions:
you're still going to dress like an easter basket right

Overall, I don’t think fans should worry. Yeah, Tyler’s writing poetry and making artsy videos with Miley Cyrus now. But but he’s also street-racing Frank Ocean and using his clothing line to compare Donald Trump to Hitler. That’s before we even get to this amazingly dumb Sade T-shirt.
IMA HUGE SADE FAN SO I MADE A FAKE WORLD TOUR SHIRT. TOMORROW RESTOCKED WITH A BUNCH OF SHIT https://t.co/cN5xK9vnHp pic.twitter.com/f8kgTnxuGr

And β at least on the rapping level βhe’s still got it, as his take on Kanye West’s “Freestyle 4” shows. Production-wise, he was a part of a little album you may have heard of. Tyler helped produce Blonde standouts “Pink + White” and “Skyline To.”
