Check your calendar. Notice anything significant? That’s right, today is 4/20, the universally recognized day of celebration for marijuana and the people who consume it. I’m sure there are plenty of potheads out there, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a bigger proponent for that sticky, icky-icky than rapper Wiz Khalifa. On this 4/20, he’s taken his love affair to the next level, rolling out a brand new mobile game called Weed Farm.
Developed in collaboration with the company Metamoki, the app is totally free to download. According to the press release, “The premise for Wiz Khalifa’s Weed Farm is simple: grow, harvest, reinvest.” Basically, you operate your farm like a small business, but with a set of challenges unique to the field of marijuana. “The game strives to create an authentic experience, capturing the state of the marijuana industry by seizing opportunities in entrepreneurial fashion, reinvesting into business, and compounding returns. In subsequent releases, the player will be able to expand their operations across the US and eventually the entire world as weed is legalized within the game.” Wiz himself is a huge fan of the game, saying, “It’s a fun game and I play it all the time. better than Pokémon!”
You can download Weed Farm in both Google Play and the Apple App Store here.
