Taylor Swift’s love life always yields a ton of attention from fans and publications. Over in China, though, her love life was the focal point of some carefully disguised gambling. However, now the Chinese government has sniffed out the ruse, and Chinese folks can no longer gamble on Swift’s love.

Swift is currently dating actor Tom Hiddleston, although this sort of thing can always change at a moment’s notice. On China’s largest online marketplace Taobao, there were vendors who were selling “insurance policies” regarding Swift and Hiddleston’s romance. Basically, if they broke up, you would get double your money.

To the Chinese government, this seemed to be gambling by another name, and that’s not exactly a leap in logic. Gambling of this nature is not legal in China. As such, people who were looking to buy Swift insurance now see the following message: “According to laws and regulations, what you have searched for cannot be displayed.” Similar “insurance policies” for the relationship between Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry as well as for the 2016 American presidential election have also been removed.

There are still evidently a few of these insurance policy type schemes that haven’t been discovered and removed on Taobao, including one involving Patrick Stewart regrowing hair, but Swift fans, or people who just don’t believe Swift and Hiddleston will stay together, are out of luck. Hey, now at least we can all root for love to win.
