An Unflappable Donald Trump Says He’s Not Bothered By The Al Qaeda Recruitment Video

On Saturday evening, Donald Trump’s presidential campaign tour landed in Biloxi, Mississippi. He arrived to a packed house and spoke of feeling surrounded by “love.” After declaring how President Obama and Hillary Clinton “created ISIS” together, Trump also berated a cameraman for panning over what Trump called his “beautiful” crowd of supporters. Trump yelled, “I’d fire his ass!” After loud cheers from the crowd, Trump joked, “Do we have a protester available? It would be good television.” Trump still sees the roughing up of his protesters as hilarious, but he brings in the crowds.

At the rally, Trump did not mention the newfound “love” coming his way from the Al Qaeda offshoot Al-Shabaab, who gave him a starring role in a recruitment video (which featured Trump’s anti-Muslim rhetoric). Trump saved that conversation for a Sunday morning stint on CBS’ Face the Nation, where he met with John Dickerson. Trump doesn’t isn’t bothered because he’s “not wrong”:

“Look, there’s a problem. I bring it up. Other people have called me and say, ‘You have guts to bring it up because frankly, it’s true but nobody wants to get involved. Now people are getting involved. People that are on different persuasions than me right now John are saying, ‘You know maybe Trump isn’t wrong. We want to examine it.'”

Dickerson noticed that Trump didn’t really answer the question, so he asked again whether Trump was concerned that his words were picked up by a terrorist organization:

“They use other people, too. What am I going to do? I have to say what I have to say. And you [know] what I have to say? There’s a problem. We have to find out what is a problem. And we have to solve that problem.”

Trump isn’t fazed at all, which is consistent with his character. Trump does not worry, and with the support he received at Saturday’s Biloxi rally, the man must feel invincible. Here’s a few more photos from that shindig.
