I apologize in advance for being a bit insufferable during the recording of this week’s TV Avalanche podcast, which took place while I was waiting for HBO to upload The Leftovers finale to their press site. (Spoiler: they did not before we were done.) As to the actual content, we start off by answering Brian’s Americans wig question, followed by the two of us trading off on a pair of Netflix premieres, with Brian having a House of Cards epiphany and me reviewing F Is For Family, which then leads into a conversation about shows we like with main characters we hate. From there, it’s off for a discussion of the return of Carmichael Show and the premiere of Showtime’s I’m Dying Up Here, aka TV’s umpteenth series about what it’s like to be a stand-up comedian, followed by spoiler segments on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 3 and the penultimate Leftovers.
