Sylvester Stallone Shared Rare Photos From The Original ‘Rocky’ That You’ve Probably Never Seen

Sylvester Stallone uploaded nearly two-dozen vintage photos from the 1976 movie Rocky, which include action shots in the ring with Carl Weathers and neat shots where the crew is in view while Rocky and Apollo are battling it out in the ring.

Stallone continues to squeeze every drop of life he can from a 40-year-old movie that was without question really good. You get the sense that he could be at his grandchild’s high school graduation and he would turn to a nearby parent and whisper, “You know what this ceremony needs? The theme from the movie Rocky, which I starred in.” Then he would hold up his phone to play the Rocky theme while his grandchild is trying to make a valedictorian speech.

Stallone is probably going to win an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role of Rocky Balboa in the movie Creed. His acceptance speech will very likely be his dream come true — 30 seconds of him talking about the movie Rocky, which launched his career and oh by the way did you know this is the hat I wore in the movie Rocky, which also won three Oscars?
