Let’s get this out of the way — if you’re worried that you missed out on the YEEZY 700 V2 Tephras that surprise released earlier this week, just chill. We got you. However, you might have to make some hard decisions after you check out what else is dropping this week. June has been one hell of a month for fans of sneakers, and by one hell of a month I mean, we’ve spent a month in style hell.
How are we supposed to choose between all these big drops? We’ve got multiple YEEZYS dropping every week, Supreme surprise dropping two designs in two weeks, and luxury fashion brands unveiling new sneakers for the summer. It’s frankly too much, we aren’t made out of money.
If you are made of money, however (or just don’t give a f*ck because the world is ending), shop on! Here are the dopest shoes dropping this week, featuring brand new YEEZYS, Supreme, and COMME des GARÇONS for the summer.
Adidas Miles Silvas 3ST.004
This new take on the 3ST.004 is part of Adidas Skateboarding’s new Rider Series, which promises to deliver new takes on classic Adidas skate silhouettes monthly, updating iconic designs with signature colorways and personal touches by both up-and-coming and legendary skaters.
This first entry into the series was designed with input from Miles Silvas and features a BOOST midsole, nubuck upper with mesh overlays, and a wraparound outsole for extra support on the deck. The 3ST.004’s only colorway is a striking golden hue, with thick black three-stripes and a heel tab featuring Silvas’ name. Generally, I’m not a fan of signature shoe series changing up the branding, but Silvas name actually looks great on the heel tab.
Dude could totally start his own label. “You see those new Silvas? FIRE.”
The Miles Silvas Adidas 3ST.004 is available now for a retail price of $120. Pick up a pair at the Adidas Skateboarding website.
YEEZY Boost 700 V2 Tephra
Another week, another YEEZY drop. The YEEZY 700 V2 Tephra surprised released earlier this week at YEEZY SUPPLY, but the official drop won’t come until later this week. Ye seems to be on a dark colorway kick for the summer as this is the fourth pair of YEEZYs in one month that utilizes grey and black tones.
Someone tell Yeezy that we don’t all want to look like we’re in the drab, coal mining district of The Hunger Games this summer. Please. Get the man some yellow fabric.
The 700 V2 Tephra features a mixed leather, suede, and mesh upper, atop a Boost midsole wrapped in a dark grey outsole. The limited run that released earlier this week sold out, but don’t take that to mean we’re back to the dark days of YEEZYs being hard to find. The YEEZY Boost 700 V2 Tephra is set to drop on June 15th and will retail for $300. Pick up a pair at the Adidas online store or YEEZY SUPPLY, as well as select retailers.
atmos Nike Air Max2 Light Black
As long as people find dope new ways to play with the Air Max2 Light design, we’ll buy them. This latest iteration was made in collaboration with Hirofumi Kojima of atmos and it’s a straight-up collage of neon Nike branded-patches, backward swooshes, and patchwork construction. A rubber lace cage and heel patch, and hot pink air bubbles round out the design, resulting in a shoe that looks like a car-crash of 90s nostalgia.
Is that a good thing? Well, we think so, obviously.
The atmos Nike Air Max2 Light Black is set to drop on June 15th and will retail for $160. Pick up a pair at the atmos-Tokyo webstore, or select atmos locations (New York excluded) worldwide.
COMME des GARÇONS Nike Shox TL
The two brands Frank Ocean named songs after, COMME des GARÇONS and Nike, have teamed up for a new take on the Shox TL silhouette that is set to release in both a Triple White and Triple Black colorway. If you’re looking at these shoes and thinking, “hey, these aren’t 90s silhouettes” you’re correct! These babies come straight out of a dark time in fashion known as the 00s and feature a spring sole system that truly felt like the future way back when.
Turns out it wasn’t the future — the future looked a lot more like what was in your dads closet. Not a lot of photos exist of these.
The COMME des GARÇONS Nike Shox TL will drop on June 14th and retail for a price of $330. Pick up a pair at Dover Street Market or COMME des GARÇONS stores.
Supreme Air Jordan XIV
As we said before, June has been one hell of a month for sneakerheads — if you have ANY money left, we applaud your strong sense of self-control, but you might as well consider yourself broke because you’re not going to want to pass up on this Supreme Air Jordan collaboration. Utilizing the Air Jordan XIV silhouette, Supreme has covered the sneaker in metal studs and the company’s iconic branding
It’s a simple take on the design but it elevates the sneaker to luxury streetwear heights. Which is cool, if you’re into that sort of thing.
The Supreme Air Jordan XIV is set to drop tomorrow on June 13th and will be available in-store at Supreme Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Paris, London, and New York or Supreme’s online store for an un-announced price.
