So THAT’S what it feels like to want to punch a photo. The cyperpunks are at war with the fake-punks today, after San Francisco-based social media and business consultant Sarah Slocum had her Google Glass ripped off her face last night at Molotov’s, a “Lower Haight punk bar.” Who did it? The haters.

Here’s Slocum’s version of what happened:

OMG so you’ll never believe this but… I got verbally and physically asaulted and robbed last night in the city, had things thrown at me because of some wanker Google Glass haters, then some *bleeeeeeeeeep* tore them off my face and ran out with them then and when I ran out after him his *bleeeeeeep* friends stole my purse, cellphone walet and everything.. That sounds pretty bad…but so is filming people when you say you’re not filming them (via Kron 4).

My favorite part is when Slocum is talking about shedding some light and doing good in the world thanks to her tireless Google Glass efforts, as a nurse assists an old lady in a wheelchair in the background:

It gets better/worse/I’m not sure:

I lived on Page Street when I was younger and went to first grade there and have grown up in the Bay Area my whole life. And what makes this story special is that no one has experienced a hate crime or been targeted for a hate crime, which is what it was, for wearing Google Glass.

To which a participant in the TECH MOSHPIT responded:

Look what you’ve started Google. I hope this story sends some traffic Ask Jeeves’ way. So, four people.
