CBS and Warner have released the first two photos of Melissa Benoist in costume for CBS’s upcoming Supergirl TV show, which is also going to co-star Helen Slater because good things happen sometimes. This costume was designed by three-time Oscar winner Colleen Atwood, who also designs costumes for The Flash and Arrow.
Benoist — last seen in Whiplash — has said she wants to make the character relatable, and a modest costume like this which can be replicated by fans and worn as a costume is a good place to start. She looks just like the nigh-indestructible space alien girl next door!
